About This Position

The Senior Manager, Student Success & Inclusion plays a critical leadership role in enhancing student well-being, inclusion, and overall success at JIBC. Reporting to the Dean, Education Services, this position serves as a central Student Support “Hub,” overseeing and advancing resources related to mental health and wellness, crisis response, learning strategies, disability services, international student services, the Writing Centre, and sexualized violence and misconduct. Working collaboratively with Student Affairs, Academic Services, and other divisions, the Senior Manager builds institutional capacity to identify and respond to diverse adult learning needs, supports student retention and improved learning outcomes, and delivers professional development to faculty and staff on academic accommodations, universal design for learning, student conduct, and emerging student support issues. The role provides direct support to students through crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, appeals guidance, development of learning labs and literacy programming, and the establishment of a comprehensive external referral network. The Senior Manager leads and mentors a multidisciplinary team, manages related projects and programs, oversees high-intervention and complex accommodation cases, and ensures seamless service delivery across the institution. As a key contributor to divisional and organizational planning, the role champions continuous improvement, aligns programs and services with JIBC’s strategic direction, and embeds principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenization throughout all initiatives. The position also represents JIBC in provincial networks and sector committees, partners with external organizations to advance best practices in student support, and carries responsibility for administrative, financial, and grant-related functions associated with the portfolio.
