To assist faculty in the instructional design, delivery and evaluation of courses using educational technology and to develop, promote, encourage and support a broad range of off- and on-campus uses of educational technology to enrich teaching and learning.

| Functions and Duties |
1. Provides training, advice and assistance for faculty from all program areas in instructional approaches and delivery methods that reflect ‘best practices’ in the application of technology to teaching, learning and research.
2. Provides workshops and one on one student and faculty support in the use of educational technologies. 3. Provides instructional design support services. 4. Facilitates the sharing of information and building of a knowledge base about e Learning amongst instructional and technical support units and the wider college community, through ongoing communication and online resource development. Ongoing communication activities include organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops and information sessions. Resource development includes writing software documentation, training manuals, writing web content, developing web pages, and collaboratively managing components of the Okanagan College web site. 5. Conducts needs analyses for computer and seminar style workshops related to online learning through interviews, meetings and focus sessions. These needs include collaboratively determining learning objectives for sessions, suggesting learning activities in alignment with objectives, and determining hardware, software, and documentation requirements. 6. Responds to user requests for assistance with educational technology hardware and software including videoconferencing, synchronous and asynchronous e Learning systems. 7. Provides operational and technical support for videoconferencing, course management and assessment systems in collaboration with IT Services staff. 8. Liaises with all college departments to foster, develop, and implement collaborative, and complementary projects/solutions, and campus wide e Learning initiatives. 9. Maintains currency in the field of instructional application of technology. 10. Provides learning technology leadership and liaises within external groups including BC Campus and the Provincial Ed Tech Users Group (ETUG). 11. Other duties as required. |
| Education and Experience |
The minimum qualification is a Master’s degree in Educational Technology, or an equivalent level credential as appropriate for the discipline.The minimum criteria is 5 years related experience.

| Schedule |
Typically, 8:00-4:00 or 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday but some evening work may be required from time to time

| Annual Salary/Hourly Rate | Salary range $71,846 to $115,129 with normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85,897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience. |
