Leading a diverse team of faculty and staff, the Associate Dean oversees program and curriculum development, delivery, and quality assurance while supporting the institution’s reputation as a leader in innovation, scholarship, and community-responsive learning. The role is accountable for achieving strategic and financial objectives and driving continuous improvement across programs and services.
The Associate Dean also provides leadership for the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Scholarship, including Program Quality Assurance, the Teaching Common, the Research Common, the Research Ethics Board, and the Canadian Council on Animal Care. Working collaboratively across the institution, the Associate Dean advances the Academic Plan and fosters a culture of teaching excellence, innovation, and scholarship.
As a member of the academic leadership team, the Associate Dean mentors and supports faculty, instructors, and staff while partnering with the Associate Vice President, Deans, Associate Deans, and colleagues to achieve institutional goals and enhance the learner experience.
