Academica Careers does not process or retain applications on our website. Applicants will follow the application instructions that you provide in your job posting, so make sure that your job posting includes clear information on how to apply and/or a working link to the application form. If you would like applicants to apply by email, you can put the email address in your ad.
Academica Careers postings often see the greatest traffic within their first 5-10 business days on the site, during which time it is also advertised in the Academica Top Ten newsletter. You are welcome to set your ad’s expiry date anytime within the 60 day maximum, though we strongly encourage having your ad posted for at least two weeks to ensure you get the full benefit of Academica Careers.
Ads are typically featured in the order that they are published, with most ads appearing within 3-5 business days of their publication date. If you have a short expiry date for your ad, please notify our team by email to request a sooner publication.
Wonderful, we’re glad to hear it! At this time, we only offer single-job Academica Careers postings, so each role will need to be its own ad. Make sure to buy an ad credit pack in order to get the best possible price for your Academica Careers job postings.
First of all: Congratulations on finding your new team member!
You have two options for announcing your new team member with Academica’s publications and websites:
- Posting an appointment notice through Academica Careers and the Academica Top Ten. You can publish a notice with a photo here on the Academica Careers platform. All positions are welcome and every single appointment notices published on Academica Careers is shared through the Academica Top Ten with over 27,000 subscribers. Paid appointments contain additional content in the newsletter and also receive priority in the ordering and timing of their appearance.
- Posting a limited appointment notice in the Academica Top Ten. Don’t need the full notice? We also continue to offer free, brief appointment notices in the Academica Top Ten for select senior positions at Canadian postsecondary schools (e.g. presidents, VPs, and faculty deans). These take the format of “Name has been appointed to Role at Institution.” Email our Top Ten team to submit an appointment for inclusion.
